Our last trip to Assam was so good that I was at a loss for words when describing our ventures on an empty sheet. But tell you what, it motivated us to explore the remaining parts of East India even though it has more states than other parts of the country. 

Carrying the motivation and hopes further this time, we have explored another place on our bucket list. It is Purulia in West Bengal, and why we chose it, you ask? 

Let me reveal all the information you need about this offbeat Bengali destination.

For good sake, it is a place near to the city where you live to get relief from the noisy and busy city life. If there is a place that exists with similar features in West Bengal, it is Purulia.

- Also, it is well-connected by road, making it accessible by car or bus. The journey from Kolkata to Purulia by road takes about 5-6 hours, depending on the route chosen. 

- The nearest airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) in Kolkata. It is approximately 300 kilometres (about 186 miles) east of Purulia, from which you must take a cab or public transportation.
